Nominations will be shared with HRH The Prince of Wales during Royal Visit in Saint John, NB
Ottawa, ON May 3, 2012 – Heritage Canada Foundation (HCF) is delighted to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will be visiting Saint John, New Brunswick, on May 21—HCF’s 2002 Prince of Wales Prize winning city! A delegation from HCF will meet with Their Royal Highnesses in Saint John to discuss shared interests in heritage conservation and community regeneration.
HRH will undoubtedly be eager to hear which Canadian towns and cities have been nominated for the Prize this year. We look forward to sharing the list of communities nominated for distinguished achievement in municipal heritage conservation.
The Prince of Wales Prize for Municipal Heritage Leadership is awarded to a municipal government, large or small, rural or urban, which has demonstrated a strong commitment to the conservation of its historic places.
