The National Trust joins Architecture Canada
in calling for submissions to the
PRIX DU XXE SIÈCLE
OTTAWA, ON – October 29, 2014 – With this award, the National Trust and Architecture Canada / RAIC have joined forces to promote public awareness about nationally significant architecture of the 20th century in Canada.
The Prix du XXe siècle celebrates design quality and enduring excellence, recognizing buildings that continue to be used as designed or that have successfully accommodated new uses without being altered in ways that detract from the original design intent. The award recognizes nationally significant architecture in Canada, designed by an architect from any country, or a building anywhere in the world that was designed by a Canadian architect. Only existing buildings that were completed after 1950 and before 1988 are eligible for nomination.
The full Terms of Reference, complete with eligibility, submission procedures and forms, are available online. Deadline for submissions is January 15, 2015.
